As others have stated the cummerbund is better suited to those who have a 35" waist or less. It just fits me and I am just shy of a 36" waist. However, the material is very nice and the pre-tied bow is a blessing. I would have liked the bow tie attachment to be made of an elastic material like that of the cummerbund. The bow tie has an attachment of the same material that it is made of and this causes you to have to adjust the fit to be a bit tight around the neck so that the clasp stays put and the bow tie does not fall off.
